Matthew Lyon

Matthew Lyon is an accomplished animation professional with extensive experience in both creative leadership and education. Currently serving as Chief Creative Officer at Lakeside Animation since November 2020, Matthew directs the studio's creative output and develops the artistic design strategy. Additionally, Matthew has been a Professor of Animation at Centennial College since 2005, designing course outlines and teaching various classes in the Digital Animation Diploma Program. Previous roles include Creative Director at AIC Movie Inc, where Matthew led the development of animated projects, including the CGI feature "ARCTIC DOGS," and Senior Animator positions at Elliott Animation and Pipeline Studios Inc., contributing to notable television series. Matthew's career also features roles in animation supervision and art direction, alongside a solid educational background with a diploma in Classical Animation from Sheridan College.
