Carsten Giese

Carsten Giese has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles.

Carsten most recently worked at Lakeside Software as a Customer Strategy and Solutions Architect for the EMEA region starting in February 2023.

Prior to that, Carsten worked at Nexthink for several years. Carsten held various roles including Field CTO, where they were responsible for developing relationships with strategic customers and driving product development and engineering. Carsten also served as the Customer Success Director for Central Europe and Germany, supporting large-scale enterprise customers and leading a team of consultants and architects.

Carsten was a Selected Member of the Forbes Technology Council from February 2019 to January 2021.

Before that, they founded and led ITMS-Experts, an EMEA-wide group of senior consultants focused on ITIL services and ITSM process optimization. Carsten also had a leadership role at Raynet GmbH, where they led a team of consultants and developers and served as an ITIL advisor for large customers.

Carsten has also worked at Symantec, where they held positions such as Product Leader, EMM Enterprise Architect, and Lead Technical Architect. Carsten was a member of the Symantec EMM Leadership Team and provided advisory services to enterprise customers in optimizing services for endpoint management and server lifecycle management.

Prior to their career in the technology industry, Carsten served as the CEO of ESC-Consult and held IT director roles at SysCom Technologies GmbH and the German Federal Ministry of Defence.

Carsten began their career as an officer in the Luftwaffe - German Airforce.

Overall, Carsten Giese has a wealth of experience in customer strategy, solutions architecture, customer success, ITIL services, and leadership roles.

Carsten Giese pursued their education at the Bundeswehr University Munich, where they completed their Master's degree in Computer Science from 1986 to 1991. Prior to that, they obtained their High School Diploma from Hermann Billung Gymnasium Celle between 1978 and 1985.

In terms of additional certifications, Carsten Giese has achieved several notable qualifications. In 2023, they earned the SysTrack Certified Dashboard Designer, SysTrack Certified Administrator, SysTrack Certified Engineer, and SysTrack Certified Technician certifications from Lakeside Software. In 2018, they obtained the Nexthink Pro Certification from Nexthink, and the Nexthink Master Certification in 2017. Furthermore, Carsten Giese received various certifications from Symantec, including the ASC (Authorised Symantec Consultant) and STS (Symantec Technical Specialist) in 2008. Carsten also obtained the AAC (Altiris Authorized Consultant), ACE (Altiris Certified Engineer), ACI (Altiris Certified Instructor), and ACP (Altiris Certified Professional) certifications from Altiris in 2004 and 2002. Another notable certification is the MLP (Microsoft Licensing Professional) obtained from Microsoft in 2001. Prior to that, Carsten Giese achieved the MCSE (Microsoft Certified System Engineer), MCT (Microsoft Certified Trainer), and MCP (Microsoft Certified Professional) certifications from Microsoft in 2001 and 1997, respectively.
