Les Spencer

Les Spencer is a retired technology executive who served as Vice President and CIO at Lam Research from 2005 until retirement in 2018. They began their career at the Atomic Energy Corporation, progressing through various engineering roles over six years in plasma physics across South Africa, the UK, and the USA. Subsequently, Les held senior management positions at Kentron and Denel Aviation, where they oversaw IT operations and strategy. Les also worked as a director at PricewaterhouseCoopers, specializing in IT strategy and consulting for high-tech firms globally. They hold multiple degrees, including an MBA/MBL and BSc in Engineering and Information Systems.
