Katie Wisby

Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer, Information Technology, Innovation, and System Leadership Initiative at Federal Reserve Bank Of Chicago

Katie Wisby is a member of the Bank’s executive committee and senior vice president and CIO with responsibility for Information Technology, Innovation, and the System Leadership Initiative.

Katie joined the Bank as a discount window analyst in 1999 and became assistant vice president of Central Bank Services and Discount Window officer in October, 2008. In 2010, she created and led the Central Bank Services System Project Specialist Unit that serves as the center of expertise for the Seventh District’s statistics, reserves and credit risk management functions. In 2013, Katie was promoted to vice president of Central Bank Services. She was promoted to senior vice president of Central Bank Services and System Leadership in 2017 and gained additional responsibility for Information Technology in 2018. In 2020, Katie’s responsibilities changed to include Information Technology, Innovation, and the System Leadership Initiative.

During her career, Katie led or contributed to numerous Federal Reserve System committees related to credit risk management and information technology.

Katie earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and an M.B.A. from the Kellogg School of Management.
