Ming-Du Kang

Ming-Du Kang is a seasoned mechanical engineer with extensive experience in various engineering roles across multiple companies. Currently serving as a Sr Staff Mechanical Engineer at Lam Research since October 2023, Ming-Du previously held the position of Staff Engineer at Tesla, focusing on the design and production of 4680 battery cells from July 2021 to October 2023. Prior to that, as Director of Product Engineering at Ebots Inc, responsibilities included advancing 3D computer vision for robotics and automation from December 2017 to July 2021. Previous roles also encompass being a Sr. Mechanical/Automation Engineer at Tesla, specializing in solar manufacturing equipment and process development, as well as experience at Lam Research and Flexible Stenting Solutions, Inc. Ming-Du holds a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering/Mechatronics from Stanford University and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (Magna Cum Laude) from Columbia University.
