Julie V. May

Julie V. May, Ph.D., is currently a Science Educator at Lamar County School District since July 2025. Previously, from October 2023 to September 2025, Julie served as a Research Scientist in STEM at The University of Southern Mississippi, leading significant curriculum development for the STEMonDemand platform. Prior roles include serving as a PHI Data Manager and Project Manager at Pioneer Healthcare, where Julie collaborated on Medicare wellness visits and developed program SOPs. Julie's extensive academic experience includes over 17 years as an Associate Professor at William Carey University, where innovative curriculum development and student engagement were prioritized, in addition to tutoring for graduate-level health programs at Our Lady of the Lake University. Julie holds multiple degrees, including a PhD in Biological Sciences from The University of Southern Mississippi.
