Mike Staats

Mike Staats, AIA, is an accomplished architect with extensive experience in various roles within prominent architecture firms. Currently serving as Associate Principal at Lamar Johnson Collaborative since May 2022, Mike previously held positions at Ryan Companies US, Inc. as Senior Project Architect and returned to Lamar Johnson Collaborative as Senior Associate after an earlier tenure. Additional experience includes work at Booth Hansen, as well as academic roles at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology where Mike contributed as a Teacher Assistant. Hands-on internships were completed at Farr Associates Architecture and Urban Design, Inc., and Roy H. Kruse and Associates. Mike Staats holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the Illinois Institute of Technology and a Diplom Ingenieur in Architecture from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, along with a background in German language studies from Heidelberg University.
