Bengt A.G. Nilsson began their career in 1982 as a Research Assistant at Chalmers University of Technology, where they worked in the field of surface treatment of aluminum surfaces before bonding. In 1984, they moved to IVF (Institutet för Verkstadsteknisk Forskning) as a Research Engineer, where they were responsible for developing products in sheet metal and plastic, including research areas such as forming, welding, manufacturing techniques, tool technology, productivity and quality methods. In 1997, they joined Collins & Aikman as a Market, Application & Development (MAD) Manager, where they were responsible for training customers to manufacture products in the company's material in the best way possible, as well as developing the company's CRM (Customer Relation Management) and integrating it into quality and project management systems. In 2006, they became Sales Manager Scandinavia at Trelleborg Rubore AB, where they were responsible for sales on the Scandinavian market and technical support worldwide for laminated products intended for sound and vibration reduction. Bengt A.G. also had a coordinator role for the Trelleborg Group's marketing offices with 6 people in Gothenburg. Finally, in 2010, they joined Lamera AB as CEO and Sales Manager, where they were responsible for developing, marketing and producing the light weight sandwich material called Hybrix. This Hybrix material is suitable for 3D formed applications where the material can be pressformed to the final shape. The Hybrix sandwich material is based on metallic skin surface material and a core based on fibre material to make it light and formable.

Bengt A.G. Nilsson attended Chalmers University of Technology from 1978 to 1983 and studied Mechanical Engineering - materials.
