Maik Jäkel

Maik Jäkel is an experienced technology leader currently serving as the Director of Engineering eCommerce at Lampenwelt GmbH since January 2023, overseeing the software development and operation of 28 online shops. Prior to this role, Maik held the position of Director of E-Commerce Development at Shop Apotheke from January 2016 to December 2022, where responsibilities included managing a large team of over 120 developers, ensuring the 24/7 availability of the shop platform across multiple countries, and collaborating on the IT architecture roadmap. Earlier experiences include roles as Head of Backend Development, Software Architect, Technical Expert, and Java Developer, accumulated during tenure at Provinzial Konzern from August 2009 to December 2015.
