LANCAR Ink, distintly diverse multimedia storytelling, a 501 © 3 tax exempt organization, is a non-profit news outlet set to reach the masses. LANCAR’s mission is to provide matriculating and entry level multicultural journalists with multimedia publication opportunities, to influence diversification in newsrooms across America. In addition to providing publication and employments opportunities, LANCAR envisions its interns/fellows creating, developing and marketing exceptional individualized brands. Through community service, professional development and marketing training, interns/fellows will be given the necessary tools to build and promote a journalism portfolio, to better compete in the media industry. LANCAR will bridge the cultural gap between mainstream America and the multicultural communities encompassing this nation. We will showcase the journalistic talents of a diverse group of journalists bringing focus to a variety of topics including but not limited to public policy, education, and social justice.
