Simon Lawrence

Simon Lawrence currently serves as the Director of Growth and Regeneration at Lancashire County Council since January 2023. Prior to this role, Simon held various leadership positions at Leicestershire County Council from June 2000 to January 2023, including Head of the Growth Unit and Major Programmes, where the focus was on coordinating infrastructure delivery and supporting growth schemes. Additional roles included Major Programmes Manager, leading responses to high-profile inquiries, and Head of Programme Design, responsible for the Council’s Transformation Programme. Simon also has experience in community transformation initiatives and major transport projects. Earlier in his career, Simon worked as a Project Design Officer at Nottinghamshire County Council after completing an engineering degree at the University of Nottingham and a master's degree in Public Leadership and Management from the University of Warwick.
