Jon Powell

Jon Powell serves as the Head of Enterprise and Innovation Services at Lancaster University since August 2004, leading academic and student support services for enterprise and innovation. Powell manages several teams, including the Enterprise Team and Project Support Unit, and has a track record of implementing programs to enhance entrepreneurial skills among students and support business growth in the region. In addition to work at Lancaster University, Powell holds the Director position at Employer Solutions, overseeing employee relations and HR services. Additional leadership roles include Past President of the Lancaster & Morecambe Chamber of Commerce and Governor at Lancaster & Morecambe College, contributing to strategic oversight and support for educational institutions. Powell's academic qualifications include multiple master's degrees in Operational Research and Enterprise and Entrepreneurship Education, complemented by extensive volunteer and governance experience in various organizations.
