Gary Bird

After completing his MSc in Psychology at Victoria University of Wellington (New Zealand) and studying Cognitive Neuroscience at Kyushu University in Japan, Gary started his teaching career in 2013 at Reigate College in Surrey. He arrived at Lancing College in 2016 in the role of Head of Psychology and was a tutor in Head’s House. After a subsequent brief spell in School House, Gary took on the role of Assistant Housemaster in Gibbs’ House in 2018 and became Housemaster of Head’s House in 2020. He has also been in the role of Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead at the College since 2019.
