Allison Balch Mileur is an experienced attorney currently providing representation to survivors of violent crimes in civil cases at Land of Lincoln Legal Aid since January 2022. Prior to this role, Allison served as the Director of Court Operations for the First Judicial Circuit of Illinois, managing budget and finances from November 2019 to January 2022, and as an Assistant State's Attorney representing various Jackson County government offices from 2017 to 2019. Previous experience includes working as an attorney at the Legal Aid Society of Hawaii, focusing on landlord-tenant issues, divorce, child custody, and administrative hearings from 2013 to 2017. Allison's legal career began with a law clerk position for five judges in the First Judicial Circuit, alongside serving as a Student Guardian Ad Litem. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from Southern Illinois University School of Law, completed in 2012, and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, earned in 2007.
