John Westman

John Westman has extensive experience in law enforcement and transportation. Currently serving as a Machine Operator at Sonoco since January 2022, Westman also drives short-haul trucks for Landair since September 2018. Prior experience includes a role as a Police Officer with the Hartsville Police Department since April 2008, and long-haul trucking for Knight Transportation from July 2017 to September 2018. Additionally, Westman was a Deputy Sheriff for Walton County between May 2016 and April 2017. Educational qualifications include an Associate's degree in Criminal Justice and Corrections from the University of Phoenix and a degree as an Information Technology Security Administrator from MyComputerCareer. Training includes specialized courses at Joint Base Charleston and Ft. Leonard Wood Army Training Base, along with police training at the South Carolina Police Department.
