Fiona Carswell

Fiona Carswell serves as GM Science at Manaaki Whenua - Landcare Research since September 2016, overseeing research portfolios that include Biota, Plant Biodiversity & Biosecurity, Wildlife Management & Conservation Ecology, and Climate Adaptation and Mitigation, with a mission to create positive change for Aotearoa. Previously, Fiona held the positions of Chief Scientist and Acting Chief Executive Officer at Landcare Research from July 2015 to September 2016, where leadership focused on the Enhancing Biodiversity Portfolio, addressing aspects from extinct fauna to on-farm biodiversity solutions that enhance productivity.
