Captain Scott Akerman

Captain Scott Akerman is a seasoned yacht broker and licensed associate real estate broker with a diverse background in the maritime and real estate industries. Currently serving at Latitude Yacht Brokerage since October 2021, Akerman brings expertise in the brokerage of various types of yachts including cruising, racing, and motor yachts. As a yacht captain and former professional sailor since January 1999, Akerman has extensive experience navigating the waters of Europe, the Caribbean, Mexico, Canada, and the USA. In addition to maritime endeavors, Akerman has been a partner and investor at Cruising Odyssey since May 2016, and has held multiple roles at Blue Water Sailing Media, WoodenBoat Publications, and Waterway Guide. Akerman's academic background includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services from Salve Regina University.
