Ammar Khawam

Ammar Khawam has worked for a number of companies since 1997. Ammar started their career as a Scientist at the International Pharmaceutical Research Center, where they were responsible for analyzing drugs in biological fluids using HPLC and creating standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the clinical and analytical departments. In 1999, they moved to The Jordanian Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Co. PLC, where they worked as a Clinical Research Associate and was responsible for clinical protocol reviewing, clinical study monitoring, and clinical report auditing. In 2007, they joined Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals as a Senior Scientist. Ammar then moved to Boehringer Ingelheim Roxane Inc. in 2012, where they worked as a Process Scientist. In 2014, they were promoted to Formulation Scientist at the same company. In 2016, they moved to West-Ward Pharmaceuticals, where they worked as a Formulation Scientist. In 2018, they joined Parsolex as a Senior Manager and Manager of Formulation Development. Finally, in 2022, they were promoted to Director at Landos Biopharma, Inc.

Ammar Khawam has a diverse educational background. Ammar received a Bachelor from Jordan University of Science and Technology in 1997 in the field of Pharmacy. Ammar then went on to pursue a Ph.D. from University of Iowa in Pharmaceutical Sciences, which they completed in 2006. Most recently, Ammar Khawam obtained a Master of Business Administration from Gies College of Business - University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2021, with a focus on Business Administration and Management, General.
