Friðrik Guðnason

Friðrik Guðnason has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Friðrik is currently working at Landsbankinn, where they serve as the Head of Strategy and BPM in the CEO Office. In this role, Friðrik collaborates with the CEO and executive team to formulate strategic plans and leads special projects. Friðrik also oversees Business Process Management, focusing on improving process maturity within the bank. Prior to their current position, Friðrik held roles such as the Head of Quality and Improvement Support, Head of Process Improvement, Head of Records and Information Management, and Project Manager at Landsbankinn.

Outside of Landsbankinn, Friðrik served as a Board Member at Auðkenni and as a Director at GoPro. Friðrik also gained experience as the CEO of Hugvakinn ehf, where they were involved in designing, programming, marketing, and distributing the I. M. A. software.

Friðrik Guðnason obtained a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering from the University of Iceland (Háskóli Íslands) from 1994 to 1998. In 2012 to 2014, they pursued an Executive Coaching program at Reykjavik University. In the future, Friðrik plans to enroll in The Open University for Systems Thinking in Practice, starting in 2023. Additionally, they have obtained certifications in Ábyrgð og árangur stjórnarmanna from Reykjavik University in 2018 and PRINCE2® Foundation Certification Training from AXELOS Global Best Practice in 2004.
