Sigurður Kári Tryggvason

Sigurður Kári Tryggvason is a legal professional with extensive experience in corporate finance and law. Currently serving as a Teacher at the Faculty of Law at the University of Iceland since March 2024, Sigurður holds the position of Chairman of the Board at Lífeyrissjóður bankamanna since May 2022 and has been a Senior Legal Counsel in Corporate Finance at Landsbankinn since October 2019. Previous roles include Senior Legal Counsel at Almenni lífeyrissjóðurinn and Associate at LEX Law Offices. Sigurður has gained international experience as a trainee at the EFTA Court and has held board membership positions. Academically, Sigurður earned a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from Duke University School of Law and multiple degrees in law from Háskóli Íslands and Københavns Universitet.
