Chris Millard

Senior Portfolio Director at Landsec

Chris Millard has extensive experience in the property industry. Chris started their career as a Commercial Leasing Executive at Knight Frank Australia in 1993 and then transitioned into a role as a Property Valuer at the same company. In 1996, they joined KPMG Australia as an Executive in the Property Group.

Chris then moved to ISPT in 1999, where they served as the Chief Investment Officer and managed Australian pension fund property monies. Chris was responsible for overseeing two trusts with a total asset value of $2.5b.

In 2003, Chris joined Grosvenor as a Fund Manager, where they played a crucial role in launching a global direct property fund. Chris built the business and investment case for the fund's launch, developed the investment strategy, and marketed the fund to institutional investors. Chris later took on the additional responsibility of managing the Grosvenor Fund Management UK investment management team as the Head of UK Fund Operations.

In 2014, Chris joined ISPT again, this time as a Senior Investment Manager. Chris led a 12-person team in the Sydney office and managed over $14.0bn of Australian pension fund property funds.

Most recently, Chris joined Landsec in 2019 as a Senior Portfolio Director. Chris is leading a 6-person team in the London office and overseeing Landsec's £13.0bn portfolio of London office, retail, and mixed-use properties.

Chris Millard attended the College of Estate Management in 2010 and obtained a degree in Sustainability for Real Estate Investment. From 1997 to 1999, they attended the Securities Institute of Australia, where they earned a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment. Earlier in their educational journey, from 1988 to 1991, Chris Millard completed a Bachelor of Business (Property) at RMIT University, specializing in Economics and Property.
