Brenden Smith, RPP/MCIP, is an experienced urban planner currently working for the City of Calgary since December 2022 and has held multiple roles in the field of municipal affairs since December 2018 at LandSolutions Inc and as a self-employed consultant. With a background as a Municipal Specialist at Rogers Communications and as a Municipal Coordinator at Scott Land & Lease Ltd., Brenden has extensive experience facilitating the approval and development of wireless telecommunication facilities across Canada. Previous positions include providing urban planning consultancy services at Urban Systems Ltd., roles as Planner 1 and Planning Technician at the City of Calgary and Rocky View County, respectively. Brenden holds a Bachelor of Arts in Urban and Community Studies from the University of Connecticut and has studied at the University of Stuttgart.
