Gerold Büchner

Gerold B. has extensive experience in journalism and communications, currently serving as Leiter der Pressestelle at Landtag des Landes Brandenburg since August 2020. Prior roles include work in communication and press for SPD-Fraktion Brandenburg from January 2014 to July 2020, and as a Bundespolitik and Europäische Union correspondent for Berliner Zeitung from June 2000 to December 2013. Earlier experiences include editorial positions at Süddeutsche Zeitung, reporting for Reuters News Agency, serving as a correspondent and deputy studio leader at VOX Fernsehen, and working as an editor and correspondent for AFP in East Germany. Gerold B. was also an Arthur-Burns-Stipendiat at Chicago Tribune Media Group in August 1991. Educational qualifications include a degree in Political Science, Economics, and Psychology from Freie Universität Berlin, as well as a training as an editor at Deutsche Journalistenschule.
