Matt McRae

Matt McRae is an experienced professional with a strong background in disaster recovery, climate policy, and natural resource management. As the Long Term Disaster Recovery Manager at Lane County Government since February 2021, Matt has played a critical role in managing state recovery funds following the 2020 wildfire in the McKenzie River Valley. Simultaneously, Matt serves as a Board Member for the Eugene Water & Electric Board. Previous roles include Climate Policy Strategist at Our Children's Trust, where research focused on climate and energy policy, and Climate and Energy Analyst for the City of Eugene, implementing community climate initiatives. Prior experience includes management of volunteer programs and trail work with the National Park Service. Matt holds a Bachelor's of Science in Natural Resource Management from Utah State University.
