Anika Somaia

Anika Somaia is a Bachelor of Arts candidate in Mathematics and Computer Science at Columbia University, expected to graduate in 2026. Currently, Anika serves as a Software Engineer Intern at LangChain, and holds positions as a Research Assistant at the ARiSE Lab, focusing on safety alignment for coding LLMs, and as a Technical Fellow with the Columbia AI Alignment Club, exploring AI safety challenges. Anika also worked as a Course Assistant for a Computer Science course, introducing advanced topics to students, and previously interned at Pika, contributing to the fine-tuning of AI video models. Anika's educational background includes iGCSE and International Baccalaureate from Cheltenham Ladies' College.
