Samar Chopra, PMP, ITIL, CSM

Samar Chopra has over 18 years of experience in various IT roles. Samar is currently the VP of Technology Solutions at Langley Federal Credit Union, where they oversee technology solutions. Prior to this, they worked at CALNET, Inc. as the Sr. Director of IT, managing all IT services contracts for the company. Samar was also responsible for business development and proposal development efforts.

Samar has also served as a Senior Manager - Enterprise Data Services at Capital One, where they led agile coaching for teams and managed a team of scrum masters. At Karsun Solutions LLC, they worked as a Program Director/Portfolio Lead, managing projects and assisting the company in achieving ISO 20000 certification.

Earlier in their career, Samar worked at CALNET, Inc. as the Director, IT Programs, managing the FAA AVS National IT Service Desk program and a team of resources. Samar also worked as a Senior Technical Consultant at Infor Global Solutions, performing software implementations and integrations with ERP systems. Samar started their career as a Technical Consultant at Iditarod Systems and Accenture, and as a Software Developer at PEC Solutions.

Samar holds certifications in Project Management Professional (PMP), IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL), and Certified ScrumMaster (CSM).

Samar Chopra, PMP, ITIL, CSM has a strong educational background and numerous certifications. They began their education at Virginia Tech, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Information Technology in 2003. They also earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Management from the same institution during the same time period.

Additionally, Samar attended Thomas Nelson Community College from 1998 to 2000, where they obtained an Associate's degree in Computer Science.

In terms of their certifications, Samar has a diverse range. They obtained their ITIL Foundation certification from Loyalist Exam Services in July 2013. They later received the Stanford Certified Project Manager (SCPM) certification from Stanford University in March 2014.
