Alfonso Ocampo

Alfonso Ocampo is an experienced educator currently serving as a Math and Science Teacher for Langley School District #35, where responsibilities include guiding students through the curriculum from grades 7 to 12, with a focus on a new Equestrian Academy at Brookswood Secondary. Previously, Alfonso held a role as Volunteer Manager for the Honda Celebration of Light at BRANDLIVE Group, overseeing the recruitment and scheduling of 140 volunteers for a large-scale fireworks festival. Additionally, Alfonso worked as a Lifeguard and Instructor for the Township of Langley, ensuring water safety and responding to emergencies, and as a Hospitality Coordinator for BandLive Group, where coordination of donations and management of volunteer hospitality efforts was key. Alfonso holds a Bachelor of Education in Environmental Education and a degree in Conservation, Ecology, and Evolution with a focus on Marine Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from Simon Fraser University.
