Travis Wentworth began their work experience as a Research Intern at Newsweek in 2008. Travis then served as Editor-in-Chief at Bard Free Press before working as a Copywriter at simplehuman for two separate periods, with a break in between for their role as a Policy Research Intern at the Immigration Policy Center. Travis later became the Marketing Director at Telluride & Mountain Village Properties, where they played a significant role in developing marketing strategies and materials. Travis then worked as a Development Officer at The Arbor before transitioning to the Royal Society for the Encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce (The RSA) as a Strategy Researcher. Travis continued to gain valuable experience in the marketing field as a Marketing Manager at The Storytellers. Their most recent role was as the Co-founder and CEO of Langu, a language learning platform that connects students with independent language teachers from all over the world.

Travis Wentworth began their education in 2003 at School Year Abroad, where they completed a program but did not earn a degree or specialize in a specific field of study. Travis then attended Bard College from 2005 to 2009, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts degree in American Studies. Afterward, they pursued higher education at the University of Oxford from 2010 to 2011, earning a Master of Science degree in Migration Studies.
