Mildred Rivera-Martinez is an experienced language consultant specializing in testing and training with a career spanning several decades. Currently affiliated with ACTFL since 1988, Mildred designs online training materials and develops assessment tools, including contributions to the ACTFL Guidelines and the OPI Training Manual. As a consultant for ALPS Solutions and Diplomatic Language Services, Mildred provides expertise in language needs assessment and curriculum development for various military commands. Additionally, Mildred has served as a language tester and trainer for Language Testing International, overseeing oral proficiency testing. Previous roles include Chief Linguist for the National Language Service Corps and Language Testing Specialist for the Peace Corps. Mildred holds a Ph.D. in Hispanic and Latin American Languages from Stanford University and multiple degrees in Spanish language and literature.
