Stephanie J. Montoya

Stephanie Montoya Lobaugh is an accomplished communications professional currently serving as the Director of Communications at LANL Foundation since April 2024. Prior to this role, Stephanie held key positions including Communications Director and Public Information Officer at the New Mexico Higher Education Department from October 2020 to April 2024, and Staff Writer/Reporter at Northern New Mexico College from July 2019 to October 2020. With extensive experience in public relations and outreach, Stephanie has successfully managed statewide campaigns, collaborated on media initiatives, and developed impactful content for various educational institutions and organizations throughout New Mexico. Stephanie holds a Master’s degree in Communication and Leadership with a concentration in Strategic & Organizational Communications from Gonzaga University, and dual Bachelor’s degrees in Political Science and Government, and Journalism and Mass Communications from New Mexico State University. Additionally, Stephanie's early career included roles ranging from a media/marketing intern to a congressional intern, showcasing a long-standing commitment to communication and public engagement.
