Rhys Vernals has extensive work experience in various roles within the financial industry. Rhys started their career at The Elbow Room as a Duty Manager in 2005. In 2006, they joined Dresdner Kleinwort as an IT Administrator, where they managed IT governance controls globally. From 2007 to 2010, Rhys worked as a Process Management Analyst at Dresdner Kleinwort, analyzing legacy processes and systems.

In 2011, Rhys joined Lansdowne Partners as a Business Analyst and Commission Manager, where they not only fulfilled typical Business Analyst responsibilities but also managed the commission sharing process for the firm. From 2013 to 2019, they continued as a Business Analyst at Lansdowne Partners, performing internal consultancy and development roles for the prestigious European hedge fund. Rhys analyzed business processes and systems to identify options, specify requirements, and develop prototypes and solutions. Rhys worked closely with the business as part of an enterprise system development initiative.

In 2020, Rhys became the Business Technology Manager at Lansdowne Partners, overseeing the management and implementation of business applications. Currently, Rhys holds the position of Head of Business Applications at Lansdowne Partners.

Rhys Vernals obtained a Bachelor's degree in Physics (Hons) from The University of Manchester from 2001 to 2005. Following that, they pursued a Master's degree in Music Information Technology at City, University of London from 2005 to 2006. Prior to their university education, Rhys attended Bassaleg School from 1994 to 2001. Additionally, they obtained the CISI Level 3 Certificate in Securities from the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment in 2019.
