Dr. Sarah Odneal has had a diverse range of work experience in the education field. Dr. Sarah started their career in 2007 as a 7th and 8th grade Social Studies Teacher at Chicago Public Schools, where they worked until 2010. Dr. Sarah then joined East Lansing Public Schools as a Title One Teacher, a role they held until 2016. In 2016, they transitioned to the Lansing School District, where they held multiple positions including Principal, Curriculum Equity Gap Specialist, and currently, Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Director.

Dr. Sarah Odneal, Ed.D has a diverse education history spanning from 2003 to 2020. Dr. Sarah began their educational journey at Central Michigan University, where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education, History, and Language Arts in 2007.

Seeking further specialization, Dr. Odneal attended the University of Illinois at Chicago - Graduate College from 2007 to 2010. There, they pursued a Master's Degree in Instructional Leadership: Literacy, Language, and Culture. Within their master's program, they earned a Reading Specialist Endorsement.

In 2016, Dr. Odneal returned to academia, enrolling in the Administrative Certification Pathway Program at Michigan State University. This program allowed their to delve deeper into the field of administration and acquire valuable skills in this area. Dr. Sarah completed this program in 2018.

Driven by their passion for educational leadership, Dr. Odneal furthered their education by pursuing a Doctorate in Educational Leadership at Michigan State University from 2017 to 2020. Dr. Sarah'sdoctoral studies focused on examining systems for disproportionality and leveraging teams toward culturally responsive outcomes.

Dr. Sarah Odneal, Ed.D has displayed a dedication to enhancing their knowledge and expertise throughout their academic journey, constantly seeking opportunities to develop their skills in various aspects of education, administration, and leadership.
