April C. has over 12 years of work experience in the public health sector. April began their career in 2006 as an Intern for CARE's Avian Influenza/Emergency Humanitarian Assistance Unit. In 2007, they worked as a Public Health Analyst for Logistics Health Incorporated and a Public Health Analyst (Contract) for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). At the CDC, they also served as a Program Point of Contact for the Post-Organizational Improvement Review of the Office of Director in 2012 and a Grants Technical Assistant (Contract) in 2010. In 2009, they worked as a Public Health Analyst for SRA International and a Transition Project Manager (Contract) for The Brighton Collaboration. In 2018, April began their current role as Program Lead for Lantana Consulting Group, where they work on the Hospital Quality Reporting Program Support (HQRPS) contract. April supports the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) in its implementation of the Hospital-Acquired Condition (HAC) Reduction Program and Hospital Readmission Reduction Program (HRRP).

April C. attended Emory University from 1998 to 2002, where they earned a BA in Anthropology, Asian Studies, and Women's Studies. April then attended Emory University Rollins School of Public Health from 2005 to 2007, where they earned an MPH in Health Policy and Management.
