Zhendong Liu

Zhendong Liu serves as the Head of Technical Services and Business Development at LANXESS since February 2021, specializing in industrial water treatment and various sectors including catalysis and pharmaceuticals. Prior to this role, Zhendong worked as a Senior Associate Chemist at FUJIFILM Holdings America Corporation, focusing on the development of wet etch and cleaning chemicals for semiconductor devices. A Technical Services Program Manager at Ashland Inc, Zhendong provided support across diverse product lines for over 20 industrial applications. Earlier experience includes roles at IBM and GE Water & Process Technologies, where Zhendong improved CMP processes and led technology groups, respectively. Zhendong’s career began at Dow Chemical Inc., developing slurry formulations for semiconductor polishing. Academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Materials Science from the University of California, Berkeley, and an MBA from the University of Delaware.
