Sr. Process Control Engineer at LanzaJet

Mohamed Samak has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Mohamed is currently employed as a Sr. Process Control Engineer at LanzaJet, starting in April 2023. Prior to this, Mohamed worked at Rockwell Automation from 2017 to 2023, where they held two positions - Senior Project Engineer and Sr. Field Support Engineer.

Before joining Rockwell Automation, Mohamed worked at Motorola Solutions from 2013 to 2017 as a Sr. Systems Engineer. In this role, they developed a generic application for RTU-FEP communication and supported engineering efforts for an EP water treatment SCADA system. Mohamed also originated systems documents including an ATP.

Earlier in their career, Mohamed worked at Rockwell Automation as a Field Service Engineer from 2012 to 2013. In this position, they programmed the downstream for a Phillips66 project, integrated different HMI projects to a centralized SCADA system, and developed HMI screens for Interstate Grains project.

Additionally, Mohamed has experience as an Electrical Inspector at PB from 2010 to 2011, a Field Service Engineer at KPS in 2010, and a Service department electronic technician at Arlyn Scales from 2009 to 2010.

Mohamed's earliest work experience dates back to 2007 when they worked at Petrojet as an Instrumentation Manager for Khalda El Salam Gas Plant Extension. Mohamed also worked as a Construction Instrumentation Engineer for the Alkyl Benzene (LAB) Project.

Lastly, Mohamed started their career as a Trainee at Engineering and Transportation Company from 2007 to 2008.

Mohamed Samak studied at Alexandria University from 1997 to 2004, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. Mohamed specialized in the Communication and Electronic Section within the field of study. In terms of additional certifications, Mohamed completed various online courses. In 2015 and 2016, they received several Coursera Course Certificates, including "Programming and the Web for Beginners," "Using Python to Access Web Data," "Python Data Structures," "Programming for Everybody (Getting Started with Python)," "Python for Everybody Specialization," and "Using Databases with Python." Additionally, in 2014, they gained the CompTIA Network+ certification from CompTIA.
