Johann Clere

Johann Clere has extensive work experience in the environmental and sustainability sector. Johann is currently the Vice President of Commercial Strategy & Marketing at LanzaTech, a company that converts waste carbon into sustainable materials. Prior to this, they held roles such as Director of Global Business Development and Business Development Director Europe at LanzaTech. Before joining LanzaTech, Johann worked at Veolia, where they held various positions including Global Director of Business Development and Strategic Partnerships Director. Johann also worked as a Project Manager at Veolia Water Technologies and Veolia Australia and New Zealand. Johann's expertise includes carbon capture, bioconversion, circular economy, and open innovation.

Johann Clere has a Master's degree in Génie civil from INSA Lyon - Institut National des Sciences Appliquées de Lyon, which they obtained from 1998 to 2003. In 2015, they attended Harvard Business School for Harvard Executive Education - Creating Shared Value, where they focused on strategy, competitive advantage, and innovation. In 2011, Johann also attended HEC Paris for a program in change management.
