Mayur Sathe

Mayur Sathe has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and industries. Mayur is currently working as a Principal Engineer at LanzaTech since August 2021. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Process Engineer at LanzaTech from November 2019 to August 2021.

Before joining LanzaTech, Mayur worked as a Process Engineer at GHD from August 2018 to November 2019. In this role, they were involved in the process design of wastewater treatment plants and worked on various projects related to plant upgrades.

Mayur also has experience as a Research Scientist. Mayur worked at the Institute of Chemical Technology from June 2017 to August 2018, where they were involved in the design and scale-up of reactors and separation equipment for fermentation technology. Mayur worked on projects related to 2G Ethanol, algae cultivation, and anaerobic digestion.

Prior to that, Mayur worked as a Research Scientist at Louisiana State University from May 2014 to January 2017. In this role, they managed research activities and mentored graduate students and postdocs in the field of chemical engineering. Mayur was responsible for setting up experimental research laboratories and computational facilities.

Mayur also gained research experience as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Newcastle from January 2011 to May 2014. Their duties involved the setup and operation of High-speed PIV/PLIF.

Furthermore, Mayur pursued their Ph.D. at the Institute of Chemical Technology from July 2007 to December 2010.

Mayur Sathe completed their Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda in 2005. Mayur then pursued a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Mumbai from 2005 to 2007. From 2007 to 2011, Sathe attended the Institute of Chemical Technology, where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree with a focus on Multiphase process equipment design.
