Kathy Chao Rothberg

Kathy Chao Rothberg serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Lao Family Community Development, Inc. since December 2005, overseeing initiatives in Alameda, Contra Costa, and Sacramento Counties. Prior experience includes roles as an AD15 Delegate for the California Democratic Party from January 2015 to December 2018, and Mayor of the San Pablo City Council from April 2012 to December 2016. Kathy held positions as Senior Project Development Manager at both East Bay Asian Local Development Corporation (EBALDC) from September 1996 to December 2005 and First Community Housing from February 2001 to August 2002. Education includes studies at the University of California, Berkeley, and completion of a Health Leadership Fellowship at USC-Sierra Health Foundation, along with further education at Golden Gate University and the University of California, Santa Cruz, as well as participation in the Inner City Capital Connections alumni program.
