Melinda Y.

Melinda Y. is a Quality Assurance and Data Specialist at Lao Family Community Development, Inc. since May 2023. Melinda has previously served as a Data Science Student at Hack the Hood, where a full range of data science skills were developed. Melinda also gained experience as a Project Management Analyst Intern at StarGazer Enterprise, focusing on data documentation for the BART Bond Oversight Committee and designing templates. As a Systems Engineer Intern at BART, Melinda contributed to an object detection project, ultimately presenting a working prototype. Earlier experience includes a Contracts and Compliance Internship with the City of Oakland and a Web Designer Internship at Hack the Hood, where web development skills were honed. Melinda holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from San Francisco State University and an Associate of Science in Mathematics from Peralta Community College District.
