Martin also served as the Managing Director at LAP Measurement Technology GmbH, overseeing the company's laser-based non-contact measuring systems for quality assurance in rolling mills. Martin Dronsek earned a Diplomingenieur (MSc aerospace engineering) degree in Luft- und Raumfahrttechnik from Bundeswehr University Munich, which they attended from 1991 to 1995. Martin then pursued a Diplomvolkswirt (MSc Economics) degree in Wirtschaftswissenschaften from FernUniversität in Hagen from 1996 to 2002. Prior to university, they attended Werner von Braun Gymnasium until 1990.
