Petri Eskelinen

Petri Eskelinen has over 30 years of work experience in various roles within the energy, consulting, and IT sectors. Petri began their career at Tehdaspuu as a Programmer, where they designed and implemented a transportation optimization system. Petri then moved on to Carelcomp Forest as an Analyst, before joining Fortum Engineering as an Automation Engineer, where they were responsible for automation projects in power plants.

In 2001, Eskelinen joined TietoEnator Forest & Energy as a Project Manager, overseeing database replacement and master data projects. Petri also managed global web applications for six years. Following this, they transitioned to Tieto, where they held multiple roles, including Test Manager and Team Leader. As a Test Manager, they conducted integration and acceptance testing for supply chain management systems. As a Team Leader, they focused on competence development and led both customer-specific and competence-specific teams.

In 2015, Eskelinen joined Project Business Oy Finland as a Project Manager, providing project management and consulting services for the energy and real estate sectors. During this time, they worked on energy and real estate data consolidation, customer information system upgrades, and integrations.

Currently, Eskelinen is employed at Lappeenrannan Energia Oy as the CIO and a Project Manager. In their role as CIO, they ensure that processes and tools are up to date, maximizing the company's benefits in the energy sector. As a Project Manager, they lead the Datahub project, focusing on maximizing benefits and managing threats in the energy sector's revolution.

Petri Eskelinen has a strong educational background in the field of Energy Technology. In 1986, they began their studies at LUT University and obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Energy Technology in 1997. In 2010, Petri returned to LUT University to pursue further studies and earned another M.Sc. degree in Energy Technology. In addition to their academic achievements, Petri also obtained a certification as a Certified Project Manager - IPMA-C level from Projekti-Insituutti in 2008. Furthermore, they hold a certification as an ISTQB certified tester (CTFL) from the Finnish Software Testing Board FiSTB, obtained in May 2015.
