Paavo Pietola

Paavo Pietola has over 25 years of professional experience in industrial design, product design, and brand development. From 1996 to 2000, they were the Founder and Manager of Industrial Design at Plamec Oy. From 2000 to 2003, they were the Chief Industrial Designer at Microcell Ltd. From 2003 to 2004, they were the Chief Industrial Designer and Site Manager at Flextronix ODM Finland. From 2004 to 2012, they were the Founder, Creative Director, and CEO of Idem Oy. From 2012 to 2015, they were the Creative Director and Partner at Creoir Ltd. From 2015 to 2017, they were the Founding Partner and VP Head of Design at Elbify OÜ. From 2017 to 2022, they were the Founder of G-Boats Oy. Currently, they are the Head of Product Design at Lapsi Health.

Paavo Pietola's education history includes a Bachelor of Architecture - BArch from the University of Oulu between 1989 and 1997 in the field of Architecture. Paavo also obtained a Master from the University of Oulu between 1989 and 1996 in the fields of Architecture and Industrial Design. In 1992 and 1993, they attended the Università Iuav di Venezia and the Istituto Universitario di Architecttura di Venezia, respectively, to pursue a Bachelor of Architecture - BArch in Architecture. In 1988 and 1989, they attended the Istituto Per l'arte e per il restauro di Firenze to study Drawing, Graphic Art and Theirtory of Art. Paavo also attended Merisotakoulu, although there is no information on the duration or field of study.
