Laramie County Library System
Melanie Hornbeck is an experienced Outreach Librarian at Laramie County Library System, working since May 2012 to enhance library services for citizens, particularly through outreach to childcare facilities. Prior experience includes serving as a Graduate Intern at Carnegie Library of Homestead, where responsibilities included managing the children's storytime program, and working in children's services at Craighead County Jonesboro Public Library, focusing on story-time and educational programming. Earlier roles include Head Librarian for St. Olaf College Band, overseeing music distribution for a large ensemble. Melanie holds a Master's degree in Library and Information Science from the University of Pittsburgh, specializing in children's services, and a Bachelor's degree in English and sociology/anthropology from St. Olaf College.
