Jie Li

Jie Li is a scientist with extensive experience in cellular and molecular research, currently working at Laronde since November 2021. Previously, Jie held the position of Principal Associate Scientist at Sigilon Therapeutics, Inc., where responsibilities included establishing molecular engineered cells for various diseases, developing biological assays, creating novel rodent animal models, conducting preclinical studies, and managing in vivo studies. Earlier roles included Senior Associate Scientist at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, focusing on islet isolation and encapsulation for diabetes therapy, as well as animal studies and biological assays. Jie began a career at the Mayo Clinic as a Research Assistant specializing in cell culture. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from The Ohio State University, a Master’s degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology from Peking Union Medical College, and a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacology from Shandong University.
