Sol Maria Reyna

Sol Maria Reyna, Ph.D. has a diverse work experience spanning various industries, including pharmaceuticals, consulting, and academia. Most recently, they worked at Laronde as the Sr. Director and Head of Strategic Operations starting in June 2022. Prior to that, they held the position of Director and Head of Strategic Operations from May 2021 to June 2022.

From 2019 to 2021, Sol worked at Voyager Therapeutics, Inc. where they started as an Associate Director of Business Development and Strategy in July 2019. Sol Maria was then promoted to Director of Business Development in October 2020 and held that position until May 2021.

Prior to joining Voyager Therapeutics, Sol worked at Sanofi as a Portfolio Analytics Manager in the Strategic Initiatives & Innovation department from February 2018 to July 2019.

Earlier in their career, Sol was employed at L.E.K. Consulting as a Consultant, where they worked extensively in the life sciences sector. Sol Maria gained experience in revenue forecasting, asset life cycle management, BD prioritization, portfolio valuations, growth strategy, revenue forecasts, and market research. Sol Maria started as a Life Sciences Specialist in October 2015 and was promoted to Senior Life Sciences Specialist in October 2016. In July 2017, they were promoted again to Consultant and held that role until February 2018.

Sol's academic background includes being a Graduate Student at UC San Diego from September 2009 to October 2015. Sol Maria also worked as an Edge Intern at WelVu in 2013 and as an Undergraduate Researcher at Brown University from October 2006 to December 2008. Additionally, they gained valuable experience as a Student Intern at NYU School of Medicine in the summer of 2006.

Sol Maria Reyna, Ph.D. completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Brown University from 2005 to 2009. Sol Maria then went on to pursue a Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences at UC San Diego, which they successfully completed from 2009 to 2015.
