Robert Foltynowicz Ph.D.

Robert Foltynowicz, PhD, CFA, has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Robert currently holds the position of Vice President of Investments at The Larry H. Miller Company since 2023. Previously, from 2013 to 2023, they worked as a Senior Equity Research Analyst at Wasatch Global Investors, where they focused on healthcare and information technology sectors and achieved impressive alpha stock hit rates. Prior to that, from 2010 to 2013, they served as a Senior Scientist at Space Dynamics Laboratory, leading the development of innovative laser technologies for environmental sensing. From 2009 to 2010, they worked as a Merger Arbitrage Research Analyst at Water Island Capital, providing independent research on corporate acquisitions and mergers. Robert also has experience in the financial sector, having worked as an Associate Risk Models Validation at Wachovia Corporation from 2007 to 2009. Earlier in their career, they held positions at Sandia National Laboratories as a Program Manager and Principal Investigator, focusing on terahertz spectroscopy, and at IBM as an Advanced Logic Integration Engineer, specializing in cobalt, tungsten, and phosphorous electroless plating processes. Robert Foltynowicz PhD, CFA holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Chemistry from the United States Military Academy at West Point, which they obtained from 1988 to 1992. Subsequently, they pursued their PhD in Physical Chemistry at Purdue University, from 1996 to 2000. Additionally, they have obtained certifications as a Chartered Market Technician (CMT) from CMT Association, Inc. in March 2021, and as a CFA (Charted Financial Analyst) from CFA Institute in 2014.
