Douglas M. has a strong background in cybersecurity with experience spanning multiple organizations. Douglas currently serves as the Director of Cybersecurity at Las Vegas Sands Corp. Douglas'sprevious roles include being the Principal Analyst for InfoSec Integration at the United States Department of Defense, where they developed and implemented DoD-wide InfoSec policies and classification frameworks. Douglas also worked as a Hiring Our Heroes Corporate Fellow at the City of Henderson, where they built a tabletop incident response exercise and updated the city's Computer Security Incident Response Plan. Douglas has extensive experience in the United States Air Force, where they served as a Division Head for Information Security and led various InfoSec operations. Additionally, they worked at U.S. Cyber Command as a Planner for InfoSec Operations, where they planned and managed intelligence analysis and offensive InfoSec efforts. Douglas began their career in the United States Air Force as a Founder and Instructor for InfoSec Operations and later became a Security Research Team Lead, where they led research teams in discovering vulnerabilities and developing security strategies. Douglas also held roles as an Executive Officer and Project Engineer. Overall, Douglas M. has a diverse and accomplished background in cybersecurity and has demonstrated expertise in policy development, team leadership, and vulnerability analysis.

Douglas M. earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Engineering from the United States Air Force Academy, where they studied from 1998 to 2002. Douglas then pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Engineering at the Air Force Institute of Technology-Graduate School of Engineering & Management, earning their degree from 2005 to 2007.

Douglas M. has also obtained several certifications throughout their career. In 2009, they obtained the GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC) from GIAC Certifications. In 2011, they obtained the GIAC Certified Penetration Tester (GPEN) certification from the same institution. More recently, in 2021, they became a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) through (ISC)², followed by obtaining the Transition from Military to Civilian Employment certification from LinkedIn in 2022. Douglas'smost recent certification, obtained in 2022, is the Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) through (ISC)².
