Angel Batalla

Angel Batalla has an extensive work experience spanning different industries and roles. Angel is the Founder & CEO of LastMileTeam, an artificial intelligence-driven startup focused on developing inclusive digital solutions for efficient and sustainable road transportation. With LastMileTeam, Angel has successfully delivered significant reductions in congestion, emissions, and transport costs for various sectors. Angel is also an Adjunct Professor at ie Business School, where they specialize in Operations & Technology. In addition, Angel has held interim CxO/Non-Executive Director roles in various companies. Angel also founded and served as the CTO of iBird Last Mile, an urban logistics and distribution company that provided e-commerce deliveries using electric vehicles. Angel has further demonstrated their leadership and management skills as an investor and CEO in the food service/restaurant industry. Angel was responsible for implementing commercial production and achieving profitable trading. Moreover, Angel served as the Supply Chain Director for CHEP Iberia, where they advised and implemented operational restructuring programs. Angel also led the international steering committee for implementing Supply Chain shared services. Prior to this, Angel held the position of Worldwide Supply Chain Director at Johnson & Johnson.

Angel Batalla obtained an Executive MBA from IE Business School, where they studied from 1986 to 1987, focusing on Business. Prior to that, they completed their MSc in Marine Engineering at Universidad de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, from 1978 to 1982. Angel also holds a certification as a Professional Director from RiskMetrics Group, which they obtained in April 2010.
