Job Duties and Responsibilities

As the DevSecOps Infrastructure Engineer, you'll be working on the continuous improvement and operation of our DISA SRG IL4 and FedRAMP-Moderate compliant infrastructure. Given the nature of our compliance requirements, we exclusively operate in AWS GovCloud.

We're looking for seasoned engineers who will play an integral role in rolling out our next wave of infrastructure improvements. The ideal candidate is technically flexible and vocal in advocating for best practices and optimal design decisions to help us build the best infrastructure possible. As an Engineer with Lastwall, you will have a large impact in shaping how we do things. As a startup we maintain a growth mindset and want confident and skilled team players who can influence the way things are done in a positive and efficient manner.

You will also be responsible for the improvement and maintenance of our Developer team's infrastructure tooling. Your role is to ensure painless testing and deployments. In the classic DevSecOps tradition, we aim for communication and mutual support in order to provide comprehensive development in alignment with our priorities.

In support of automation, we expect all of our Infrastructure Engineers to have good coding skills, as we are deepening our automation and operational tooling and will continue to do so in the future. We use Node/Typescript internally so proficiency in these languages is required.

Additionally, On-call support is a part of our operational excellence strategy, and as such, candidates must be comfortable participating in our on-call rotation. Your ability to ensure uptime and system reliability during critical windows will be paramount to the team's success.
