Deepa K.

Deepa K. has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Deepa is currently working as a Director of Software Quality Engineering at Later since September 2021. In this role, they manage a team of over 96 employees and is responsible for the delivery of functional and performance testing, automation, CI/CD/DevOps integration, and more.

Prior to joining Later, Deepa held the position of Vice President at Credit Suisse from January 2017 to May 2020. Here, they led global teams of approximately 110 quality engineering staff and oversaw complex technology initiatives. Deepa'sresponsibilities included E2E functional and automation testing, talent hiring and development, retention, and performance management.

Before their role at Credit Suisse, Deepa worked at Macy's as a QA Manager from May 2013 to December 2016. Deepa managed a global team of over 40 employees and vendor teams, focusing on delivering functional and automation testing for web and mobile applications. Deepa also led the development of a test execution engine for automation execution and integration with Jenkins.

Deepa's career started at Nortel Networks as a Senior Software Engineer from January 2001 to December 2005. Deepa then joined United Online, Inc. as a Principal Software Engineer from January 2006 to December 2010. Deepa'sresponsibilities included designing and developing various Java+Spring framework-based websites and implementing SOAP and REST web services.

In 2011, Deepa worked at Shopzilla as a Lead Quality Assurance Engineer. Deepa led the testing of multiple concurrent projects, including ecommerce web apps, RESTful web services, and iOS apps. Deepa also collaborated closely with product managers and performed code reviews.

Throughout their career, Deepa has demonstrated leadership and expertise in managing quality engineering teams, delivering complex testing projects, and implementing automation technologies.

Deepa K. holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Software Engineering from Purdue University. In June 2021, they obtained the certification of Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM®) from Scrum Alliance.
